Microneedling with PRP [Platelet-Rich Plasma], also known as Vampire Facial Rejuvenation, is a non-surgical treatment of fine lines, facial sagging, acne scarring, stretch marks and facial scars.
Microneedling, or collagen induction therapy, is an FDA-approved minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of a device that contains fine needles.
These needles are used to puncture the skin at various depths to create micro-injuries in the deeper layers of skin.
Natural Results
Platelet Rich Plasma [PRP] is a concentration of platelets in the blood that are crucial to wound healing by rebuilding damaged tissue. Platelets contain potent growth factors along with other cytokines that stimulate the healing of soft tissue. PRP alone inserted into a wound has been proven to accelerate healing.
When used for skin rejuvenation, PRP releases growth factors into the skin to expedite the body’s own repair process and stimulate new collagen and elastin.
Studies have shown that platelets can stimulate your stem cells resulting in the growth of new skin. PRP is created from the patient’s own blood (thus the “vampire” facial reference).

Microneedling combined with PRP is effective in treating many types of scars. Although results are effective within a month for microneedling with PRP after just one visit, we recommend 4-6 treatment sessions about 4 weeks apart to optimize skin rejuvenation.
